Meet Dr. Schmidt

Dr. Eric SchmidtDr. Eric R. Schmidt is an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon with over twenty years of dedicated military service. Dr. Schmidt was born in Kansas City, Missouri and has since lived all over the world – in nine states and two countries abroad. He attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he met his wife Mary Anne. In 1996, Dr. Schmidt joined the United States Navy Dental Corps, and served proudly for three years as a general dentist overseas in Keflavik, Iceland. After returning to the United States, Dr. Schmidt was recruited by the U.S. Air Force and completed one of the country’s finest Oral and Maxillofacial residencies. After 18 years of Air Force service, Dr. Schmidt retired as a colonel and continues his oral surgery career through private practice.

In his free time, Dr. Schmidt enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, and bike riding. He also has a strong passion for technology and innovation, and is always searching for new ways to improve the dental industry. Dr. Schmidt is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
